DOCOMO interTouch provides in-room hotel broadband access with the convenience of plug and play, eliminating the need for any configuration, additional software or hardware. With just a 3-step log-in process, hotel guests obtain secure wired internet access in their rooms. Access to company Intranets through major Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) is supported, allowing guests to be productive even while traveling. Port security assures guest confidence and privacy when using the hotel broadband access service.

Through a multi-lingual and easy-to-use customizable guest portal, hotel-specific information is displayed, in addition to RSS feeds for information such as news and weather updates. Two-way integration with major Property Management Systems (PMS) ensures that Internet usage is billed to the guest folio. Support for corporate rate discounts and loyalty programs for hotel Internet access is a plus for hotels.

Wireless broadband in public areas

DOCOMO interTouch’s hotel wireless broadband access service ensures that guests are able to access the Internet from anywhere within the hotel. The convenience of being online is extended to public areas such as the hotel lobby, meeting rooms, conference halls, business centres or even the lounge. Access charges for wireless roaming are billed to guest rooms, while visitors are given the flexibility to purchase a pre-paid card from the front desk.

Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections are also supported by hotel wireless broadband access connections. Wireless devices, such as wi-fi enabled PDAs and phones, are able to connect from anywhere in a hotel where a wireless internet connection is available. Again, an easy-to-use customizable guest portal greets the guest once he launches his browser.

Wireless roaming

The ability to be mobile and to have the flexibility to access Internet everywhere in their hotel is highly desired by business travellers. Integrated wired and wireless hotel broadband Internet access facilitates this mobility, enabling the freedom to roam.

With our wired and wireless roaming feature, guests are assigned a username and password with which to log-on to the DOCOMO interTouch network, regardless of where they are – room, lobby, meeting room, reception area or food and beverage outlet. Billed-to-room wireless access is now possible even before guests have logged in from their rooms.

Charges for all hotel broadband Internet usage are integrated into an all-inclusive bill plan and charged directly to the guest folio for payment upon check-out. There is no need for pre-paid cards or other subscriber information.
