interTouch expands business to North America to offer Pan Pacific Seattle superior Internet services for guests and staff
Singapore, 12 July 2007: interTouch, a leading broadband Internet provider to the hospitality industry, announced today its entry into the United States market with the exclusive provision of wired and wireless broadband connectivity to the new Pan Pacific Seattle hotel.
Pan Pacific Seattle, recently recognized as a Conde Nast Traveler Hot 100 Hotel, becomes the sixth in the Pan Pacific Group to select interTouch solutions. This is due to the superior connection speed, flexible business models and excellent after sales service that interTouch offers.
“interTouch provides fast, reliable and secure wired and wireless services that are on par, if not better, than what is offered in the US market,” said Mark Fancourt, Corporate Director of Information Technology, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts.
“interTouch’s ability to offer multiple business models and excellent after-sales service, along with their strong product offerings, makes them our number one choice. We have been working with interTouch solutions in our hotels since 2004, and it is a testament to interTouch’s personal commitment and respect for our business relationship that they stepped into a new market with us.”
Pan Pacific has implemented interTouch Internet services in five hotels prior to Seattle, and the hotel and resort group looks to continue building upon this positive relationship.
interTouch will be providing wired and wireless solutions on a converged network throughout Pan Pacific Seattle, including a fully serviced business centre. The plug-and-play aspect of interTouch solutions allows guests fast access to the Internet from anywhere in the hotel – something that is quite unique to interTouch.
“Our guests often comment that they are amazed at the ease and speed of Internet connection the very first time they try,” said Fancourt. This is due to interTouch's 96% first time connect rate, which is unparalleled in the industry.
Other services include secure network printing capabilities, allowing guests to print from any location in the hotel to a designated printer, and a Self Managed Business Centre solution, which lets guests conveniently access the Internet, print documents and use other typical business functions on a computer without needing any staff assistance. In addition, interTouch will provide unrivalled guest support with a 24x7 multi-lingual Helpdesk as well as around-the-clock network monitoring and management, supporting both guests and hotel management.
“We are proud that Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts have selected interTouch to provide our service to their latest and most modern hotel, the Pan Pacific Seattle,” said Charles Reed, Chief Executive Officer, interTouch. “We have enjoyed a longstanding partnership with the Pan Pacific Group, and this new expansion into the United States demonstrates our commitment to grow this relationship globally.”
“Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, like all of our hotel clients, can be confident that guests will be able to access seamless connectivity together with unrivalled guest support whenever it is required,” he added. “At interTouch, we recognize the importance of providing a high level of service of world-class hospitality standards to support the hotel’s brand.”
Since its acquisition by NTT DoCoMo in December 2004, interTouch has leveraged the relationship with its parent company to enhance its offerings and develop new technologies. interTouch is the strategic link in implementing NTT DoCoMo's globalization strategy, which aims to bring together various technology and hospitality partners to develop new services for travelers. interTouch has built a solid reputation in the hospitality industry for delivering the fastest and easiest Internet connections, backed by unparalleled service and support for customers across the globe.
