Brazil’s leading 5-star hotel chooses interTouch’s broadband solutions for complete connectivity
Singapore, 29 May 2007…interTouch, a leading broadband Internet provider to the hospitality industry, announced today its first foray into the South American market with the installation of wireless broadband connectivity to the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo, one of Brazil’s premier hotels.
With the migration from an in-house managed wired only solution to serviced offerings by interTouch, the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo now offers its guests a greatly enhanced Internet experience. Backed by round-the-clock network monitoring, network performance optimizing and 24-hour tech support, the interTouch solution is a fully integrated wired and wireless solution allowing guests to roam throughout the hotel without the need to have to log in twice, and for one all-inclusive price plan. Guests may now continue working whilst having a drink in one of the hotel’s great F&B outlets, in all public areas or even at the poolside.
“Thanks to interTouch’s broadband solutions, our guests are quickly and easily connected to the Internet from anywhere within the hotel – from guest rooms and meeting rooms to the Business Centre and public areas,” said Frederic Boulin, Grand Hyatt São Paulo’s, Resident Manager. “We have also installed interTouch’s Print Me solution, allowing guests to print documents from the comfort of their rooms and further enhancing our offerings to busy business travelers.”
In combination with local channel partners, interTouch is aiming to establish itself as the leading provider of managed broadband solutions for premium hotels in South America and is pleased to be working with the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo. To demonstrate its commitment to this important market, interTouch has added Spanish and Portuguese to the Helpdesk, which offers full support services. Hotel guests with questions or anyone who experiences technical difficulties can call a 24-hour, toll free number for immediate, multilingual assistance from experienced specialists.
“Our business models are adjustable to any market requirement, and we have worked closely with the Grand Hyatt Sao Paolo to determine what would best suit their guests’ needs,” said Charles Reed, Chief Executive Officer, interTouch. “We are pleased to extend our global footprint into South America to provide the same world-class Internet services that we do in many other regions around the world. With interTouch solutions, the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo can ensure unrivalled guest support and fast connectivity for both guests and hotel staff that will be in line with their world-class hospitality services. To serve the Americas better, we have also recently opened an office in Miami.”
interTouch Vice President of Sales, Americas, Arne Riemers said that interTouch is delighted to have the prestigious Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo as their first partner in Brazil and South America. “This partnership with Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo demonstrates that premium hotels understand the need to provide premium services for their guests. Today broadband Internet access is among the most important amenities a guest looks for in a hotel room, but it is also a leading cause of complaints in hotels who do not manage those services correctly. A hotel cannot underestimate the value of having these services managed by a true specialist like interTouch,” said Arne.
“interTouch plans to build on this success, and we look forward to forming partnerships with more hotels in the region to address their guest broadband connectivity issues, while rapidly extending our footprint in South America,” he added.
